Cefalù

Cefalù is a town with a medieval character, situated on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

If you want to stop for a short visit, it is easily combined with a trip to Palermo.

Otherwise, it is possible to organize an extended stay, including a trip to Castelbuono, located in the Madonie mountains. In this case, an overnight stay is recommended.

The big attraction in Cefalù is the famous Cathedral, from the Norman period. For hikers, a climb to the “Rocca” offers fantastic views over the town and the sea.
