On the southern slopes of the volcano you can take the 6 person cable car for the ascent into the crater to 2500 meter (8200 feet), before boarding the oversized 4×4 Mercedes vans to reach the ultimate 2900 meters (9700 feet).

On the north face, which is considered the natural side, one arrives at the lava fields of the last eruption of this area, starting October 2002 at 1800 meter (about 6000 feet).
